Remember this family? Of course you do. How can you forget those amazing smiles? Well, you'll recall that I mentioned the younger son is leaving for a two-year mission soon. Later this week he'll board a plane that will take him to serve the people of Mexico for two years.

S Family

One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is getting a glimpse into the life of families. I love to see the interactions between parents and their children and siblings. You'd be surprised by how often my cheeks hurt after a session from laughing so much. This was one of those times.

I loved spending time with this family. The oldest son just returned home from a two year mission, and the younger son is days away from leaving for his. This was precious time together as a family. Thank you S Family for letting me be a part of it!

And thank you, rain, for holding off for almost a whole hour so we could get these great shots.

Can I just say what a pleasure it was taking pictures of this beautiful family. And when I say beautiful, I mean it. The pictures speak for themselves, but let me just say this: Photoshop had nothing to do with it!

It was so fun to be around so many people who genuinely cared about each other and were happy to be together. It made me want to go home and have a party with my sisters.

This is a picture of the "outlaws." All the lucky people who married into the family.

Newborn C

We've been waiting a lot time for this little guy to come! And he finally came with a head full of beautiful red hair.

We had to add his special nursery decor. This fits him and his family to a "T."

Jeri - Weighted creations

Yesterday I had the opportunity to do a mini session for this store owner. Her blog and website are now live and she wanted a professional picture to go with them. And who do you call when you need professional pictures? Me!

H Family

Winter is always a tricky time to take outdoor pictures. I end up watching the sky and the weather channel up until the moment we leave!

This session was no different. It was windy and rainy, but you can't tell from the pictures. Luckily we were able to get some outdoor shots before retreating to a beautiful indoor greenhouse for some nice pictures with some green. 

This was the first time these kids had ever had a photographer in their face, and they did awesome!

One of the hazards of going from extreme cold to a humid greenhouse is condensation! We had to wait about 10 minutes before my camera was clear enough to take pictures. In the meantime, I snapped this test photo. What a cute face.
